Custom Pool Construction Process
​I wanted to provide you with a brief overview of the steps and process involved in custom pool design.
Firstly, we begin by conducting an initial consultation with our clients to understand their specific requirements and design preferences. Following this, our team develops a conceptual design that incorporates these specifications.
Design & Permits
At this stage, we will be obtaining all necessary engineering and submitting the required permits. It may also be necessary for you to apply for Home Owners Association (HOA) approval, depending on your specific community requirements.
Once the building permit is obtained, the construction will commence and we will be able to move forward with the project. Prior to the excavation, we will consult with our designers assist with the 3D custom pool design. To ensure your satisfaction with the layout.
Lay Out & Excavation
Our skilled craftspeople are diligently working on transforming your backyard into a beautiful swimming pool. While they make it appear effortless, it actually requires a significant amount of time, experience, and hard work to master their craft.

This will include indicating the shape, size, and location of the pool in your backyard for the excavation crew.
Within a couple of days, our excavation crew will arrive with heavy equipment to dig the pool based on the engineering plans. Please note that while we will move any decorative rock aside to gain access to the dig area.
Steel Installation & Plumbing
Steel installation phase, Our skilled builders will be utilizing various techniques to bend and form the steel to perfectly shape your swimming pool.
The complexity of the plumbing job largely depends on the features that you have chosen for your pool. These features can determine the level of difficulty in the plumbing installation. The plumbing job will be responsible for installing the circulation system, main drain system, and skimmer.
During this phase, all requested flowing systems as per your design, such as therapy jets, deck jets, sheer descent, and other water features, will also be installed. It's worth noting that the filtration system that filters into the pool water is also part of the plumbing process.
Gunite/Shotcrete
Our highly skilled craftsmen will be working on applying and sculpting the pressurized concrete according to your specific design. This includes shaping the pool, spa, and steps.
During this time, your backyard may appear messy, with trenches and a hole with rebar running through it. The application of the concrete, known as gunite, will create the pool shell. The crews will arrive and use a hose to apply the concrete, resulting in a close-to-finished look with the benches installed and the pool walls and floor completed.
Afterwards, there will be a drying period needed for the concrete.
Tile & Decking
The tile setter, who is a skilled design artist, will be responsible for enhancing the beauty of the pool area. Upon your request, tiles will be utilized to decorate the perimeter.
Once the gunite is installed, the waterline tile as well as any rock or boulders will be added to your pool. The tile serves the purpose of providing an easy-to-clean surface at the waterline, while the rocks or boulders contribute to a natural "swimming hole" aesthetic, especially for waterfalls and jump rocks. For pools with a contemporary or classic style, tile will also be applied to any raised walls or water features.

Now that the tile installation is complete, the next step is to proceed with the decking. We offer a variety of options, such as concrete, spray deck, pavers, tile, and stone, to suit your preferences.
Plaster
The interior finish, which includes a concrete coating, is applied to both the floor and walls of the swimming pool. Following the plastering process, the pool is ready to be filled with water immediately. The interior finish is typically completed within approximately three days, marking the final stages of the project.
Plaster serves as a waterproofing surface for your pool and comes in various options such as White Plaster, Quartz, Pebble, and polished surfaces. Once the swimming pool finish has been applied, it is now time to initiate the filling process. The pool will be filled using a regular garden hose provided by the homeowner.
Start Up
The start-up technician in regards to testing and ensuring the proper functioning of the swimming pool.
The start-up technician's main tasks include starting the circulating pump, setting the timer, and completing any additional job requirements based on the pool's design. For instance, if the design includes eye-ball fittings in the return and jets, the technician will handle their installation during this stage.
Additionally, the start-up technician will conduct a thorough cleaning of the pool.
